Low-Latency Streaming Tips
Configure these settings in OBS to reduce latency:
- Go to Settings → Output → Streaming
- Set Output Mode to "Advanced"
- Encoder: x264 (or hardware encoder if available)
- Rate Control: CBR
- Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds
- CPU Usage Preset: veryfast or faster
- Profile: high
- Tune: zerolatency
- B-frames: 0
Additional settings:
- Settings → Advanced → Network: set "Dynamically change bitrate" to enabled
- Settings → Advanced → Network: Check "Low latency mode"
- Lower your video bitrate (3000-5000 Kbps is often sufficient)
- Use a resolution of 720p instead of 1080p
- Use 30 fps instead of 60 fps
